I’m Karen, founder of Karen Ann Wellness, where we help leaders and organizations move from stress and reactivity to calm, clarity, and sustainable success.

With a background in neuroscience, somatic practice, and executive leadership, I teach people to work with their nervous systems,  leading with steadiness, communicating with presence, and creating impact that lasts.

After nearly two decades in wellness and corporate leadership, I created Karen Ann Wellness to close the gap between what we know about performance and what we feel in our bodies. Our work blends science and embodiment to build real resilience, not through willpower, but through regulation.

A Journey That Became the Work

This work began long before Karen Ann Wellness — it began with my own healing. Decades ago, I was learning to reconnect with my body after years of disconnection. Recovery from anorexia became my first initiation into embodiment. Yoga taught me presence, breath taught me patience, and slowly I began to understand what safety feels like in the body.

That journey led me to teach others how to move beneath perfectionism and performance and return to themselves. I saw how high-achievers could look strong but feel disconnected — always pushing, rarely at peace.

Later, in leadership roles across Fortune 50, Fortune 200, and startup companies, I saw the same pattern on a larger scale: talented people burning out, teams losing connection, and success built on exhaustion instead of ease.

Those years changed everything I understood about stress. It wasn’t a mindset issue or a time management problem — it lived in the body, shaping how we think, speak, and lead.

That realization led me deep into the science of resilience — nervous system regulation, somatic psychology, and parts work — and the results were undeniable. Teams communicated better, leaders led with presence, and people felt steadier and more connected.
